How to Submit:

In Discord, photo prompts are posted on the first of every month in ⁠prompts. Write your submission as a chat message and send it in the right channel. It will always be listed with the prompt. The deadline is the last day of each month. At the end of the quarter, the editor(s) will pick stories to be published on our website and some might even be selected for our print fundraising editions.

Guidelines

• Discord has a 2000 character limit (~250-400 words). 4000 character limit (~400-800 words) for nitro (this is a discord feature not associated with LoveMark itself).
• Up to 5 submissions per person. This will likely change depending on how many members we have vs staff.
• Currently all submission are unpaid but we are working on fundraising. If you want to help pay authors, consider joining our Patreon.
• By submitting to the server, you are agree to Nonexclusive Digital Publishing Rights. These are not serial rights. If you submit the story elsewhere, you don't have to mention LoveMark as a first publisher but you will need to be honest about how the story was originally published.
• If your work is selected for further publication, we will reach out to you in a private message to discuss the process and rights being transferred.
• Because of our structure, we can't really consider simultaneous submissions.

What We Won't Consider

• We will not consider any AI works or plagiarism. We cannot accept work derivative of an established IP (fanwork).
• We will not publish work that is offensive or shows hatred, prejudice, or violence directed towards a particular race, religion or any form of religious bashing, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, ability, socioeconomic class, or other social identity or status.
• We don’t consider pieces revolving around religious figures or religious concept (characters can have a religion and act on it), or pieces that contain excessive gore or excessive violence.
